Carbon Steel Channel is a hot rolled product with inside radius corners and is widely used in construction and structural applications. Shaped into a C (parallel flange) or U (tapered flange), the channel has two flanges that come together at 90-degree angles that help create strength.
The channel steel is a long strip of steel with a groove shape and is a carbon structural steel for construction and machinery. Channel steel is a section steel with a complex section. Its cross-sectional shape is a groove shape.Channel steel is divided into ordinary channel steel and light channel steel. The specification of hot rolled ordinary channel steel is 5-40#. The specification of hot-rolled flexible channel steel supplied through agreement between the supplier and the buyer is 6.5-30#. Channel steel is often used together with I-beam.
APPLICATIONS: Used for general purpose structural and mechanical applications such as riveted, bolted, or welded construction of bridges and buildings. Use for reinforcement products such as bracing, framing or bracketing is also common.
